Hello my name is Garla. I am one of the forum administrators. I have been researching legitimate survey sites. Here are some to check out:

Jewelry Opinion Counsel – (sweepstakes for nice jewelry, interesting questions)

PineCone Research – pays $5 for each survey completed. Currently not taking new participants but keeps eyes for banner ads through banner ads on various websites from time to time throughout the year

Greenfield Online – pays cash and sweepstake entries

GlobalMarketResearch – pays cash and rewards with points even if you don’t qualify for survey

I have been a member of lightspeed panel for a few years. They're quite good. While you don't get "paid" you do get points which vary from 10 up to 150. I qualify for about 40 or 50% of the offers they send out. I've also gotten to try a new shampoo which they mailed to me. You also get entered in their daily (or monthly, I don't remember) lottery for a cash prize.

As to the point system, you can redeem the points for itunes certif's, various gift cards, though it does take a lot of points to get anything worthwhile and the points expire after a year or two. I just spent all my points donating to a charity, since they were about to expire and I felt that helping an animal was better than getting 10 free songs from itunes.

lightspeedpanel is a fun way to pass the time, just dont think it will even begin to help supplement ones income.

I agree that survey savvy is one of the better ones.

I like getting paid cash and they average me about 8$ per survey.

I'm not big on the points and who knows if you're really getting entered in those
"sweepstakes".

Unfortunately they are for US and Canada only. One that I have found for international users is Hippie Pay.
