Finding An Online Class For Accounting  & Certifications

The American Instititute of American Bookkeepers provides a bookkeeping certification that most Employers will respect.  - AIPB.org

Intuit provides a Quickbooks certification that tests your QB skills as well as provides a free tutorial (for the moment) to help you pass the certification tests.  - Intuit

Quickbooks/Accounting/Bookkeeping Tutorials

Brainbench - Brainbench has a detailed certification program for bookkeepers.  This link will direct you to the home page. Once at the home page look for "skills by job/role".  Type in "bookkeeper".  Their version of Quickbooks is not a recent version of QB but the other tutorials/tests seem good.  The interesting thing about Brainbench is they offer their own certifications that employers respect. 

*StaffKit - Staffkit's Quickbooks tutorial is reasonably priced and has a year time period to do the self-paced tutorials. The course is interactive and covers over 15 different areas within Quickbooks. There are skill checks at the end of each module.  It is a great tutorial product for the cost.  It requires self-discipline to complete but can be done is as little as 33 hours. That is less time in one business week.    

*Intuit - Intuit is the developer of Quickbooks and Quicken.  They have an in-dept training program for both products. They also have a training class on mastering accounting basics.
